Mindfulness Therapy

Often stress, being emotionally overwhelmed is uninvited guests in our daily lives; however, they are part of the human condition. Stress and pain may have you feeling irritable, tense, depressed and anxious, which impacts your entire life. The KEY to regaining balance is responding to these stressors with mindful, non-judgmental awareness. Impossible? Research has shown that mindfulness-based approaches to healing the body and mind are highly effective and can even change our brain.

Mindfulness in Action utilizes the power of nature to heal and cultivate mindfulness skills that can be transferred into daily living. I guide my clients through mindfulness experiences that will help connect them more deeply with themselves, others and the environment. I focus on increasing my clients self-esteem and compassion, non-judgmental awareness, relief of pain symptoms, anxiety, depression, stress and the alleviation of general suffering.

One way I use Mindfulness in action is through meditating. Meditation has proven to help individuals reduce stress, pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, cravings and increase overall quality of life and well-being. Meditation practice is “a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life, a way of taking charge of your life, a way of doing something for yourself that no one else can do for you — consciously and systematically working with your own stress, pain, illness and the challenges and demands of everyday life.”
